Just like to suggest that it would be nice if Westnic could notify users via email before a server change just so that we are aware of it.

Lost a few days of data due to the server move.
If I had been notified a few days prior...I could have backed up the data base. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Your backup would be outdated anyway. More or less.
There is a delay between server transfers (from 12 hours to 2 days). We usually send reminders ahead of time (24-48 hours). All transfers are done without server downtime. Also, we keep old accounts for a few weeks. You could login to the old server then run backups. For example, customers on M17 relocated to M18 few days ago. However, all accounts are still exist on M17. We will disconnect this server by the end of June. M17 backups (fresh backups) are ready on offsite server for those who need it. I said this many times... It's very good idea to make own backups (full backup) at least once per month. Own backups cannot be stored on our servers. Please download them to your local computer.

Backups are a good idea no matter what the server status is. I did find it a bit confusing for those few days that they server were switching. I had difficulty telling for certain which server was live for my sites. M18 seems to be fully online now.
