New servers run CloudLinux operating system which doesn't allow to install/use own php configuration files (php.ini). Unfortunately, we've seen many php.ini files with enabled ini_set, exec functions etc together with severely outdated Joomla, Wordpress, Drupal and others. CloudLinux addressed such issue by forcing all users to use default php.ini file. Custom php.ini is still possible, but with secure handling. Users cannot see/alter/edit php.ini.
Here is an example. You're trying to install new Joomla script on your website, but it complains about ini_set. You may see following (or similar) error: HTML Code:
Warning: ini_set() has been disabled for security reasons in /home/username/public_html 1. Submit support ticket with domain name, username to cPanel and error output: https://support.westnic.net 2. If you run latest PHP script, we'll create custom php.ini file which is owned by system (not cPanel user). If you're trying to enable ini_set on website with outdated/old scripts, we'll enable ini_set then give you 48 hours to update php script. Failure to update/upgrade in given time will result in account suspension. Thank you for understanding.
