Default Bounced Emails

Hello,

My mother has been complaining about emails bouncing. After looking into the situation, I have found that it is just emails with attachments (more specifically emails attached inside of emails ... .eml extension). Personally, I hate these kind of emails, but this is my mother I'm talking about.

The message attached to the bounced emails read:
------------------------------------------------------------
This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

(email address withheld)
This message has been rejected because it has
a potentially executable attachment "ForwardedMessage.eml"
This form of attachment has been used by
recent viruses or other malware.
If you meant to send this file then please
package it up as a zip file and resend it.
------------------------------------------------------------

Is there any way around this? I think antivirus should be a personal responsibility (eg. sender's and recipient's) rather than the email server's. I could see this happening if what she is sending actually has virii in it, but as long as she is authenticated, the email should go through.

Any one else having this problem?
