Hi! I saw from searching on Google that WestNIC doesn't allow scripts.....? And I saw something to that extent written in the "FAQ" found on the forum. Is this true? And if so, what does this mean exactly? Because I'm sure I'm posting at a vB at the moment, so that's a little.... perplexing. :]

EDIT: Okay, I retrieved the quote:

You can install most popular scripts with one click using Fantastico software which provided for free. Please note: we do not support any scripts. All scripts provided "as is" without warranty. We offer paid installation services ($19.95 one time fee per script).

A friend of mine interpreted it as "no support for the process of installation or troubleshooting of scripts"... but I'm still finding it a bit ambiguous? I'd really appreciate any input on this! Thanks in advance =]

EDIT2: Oh, I've found I have many questions!

In the ToS:
* Host illegal MP3 content, store large Audio / Video Archives (any format).
* Run intensive scripts with persistent MySQL connections.
.......* Persistent MySQL connection is prohibited on all shared servers.
What constitutes "large" audio / video? Are we talking 10 MB or 100 MB? And would a vB such as this count as persistent MySQL connections? Maybe one with thousands of members? I'm especially worried about the last two points because I've heard of sites deleted without warning from companies like Dreamhost (who just happen to be satan spawn, in my rightful opinion) for using "too many resources" MySQL-wise... when all they really have is a forum.

Yeeeeeeeeep

You may install any script you wish, but we can't assist you with installation or troubleshooting because:

We do not develop any scripts, websites etc. We provide web hosting services. You should visit script support forums or contact script owner/programmer.

Any large audio/video archive would be against terms of service. However, we host many musician web sites with legal mp3 archives (over 5 GB of data). It's all about CPU usage, not disk space / bandwidth.

Also, we don't host large forums on shared servers, adult, game communities, hack, warez, illegal video/audio, copyrighted (stolen) content. If you run large forum or community portal, you should consider VPS (Virtual Private Server), VDS (Virtual Dedicated Server) or dedicated server. At this time we provide business-class shared web hosting services. We sold out VDS and dedicated servers in November.
